A family living permanently in their Land Rover.

Around the World!

In spring 2022, we will begin phase 1 of our world expedition, as we ship our Defender to Halifax in Canada, and start driving north all the way to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, before turning right around and travelling back down the full length of the infamous Pan American Highway (with plenty of interesting diversions along the way). All the way from the Arctic coast of Alaska to the bottom tip of the South American continent, arriving at Ushuaia Argentina…. some 60,000 Km’s and 2 years of driving later!

I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.

– Susan Sontag

So, what’s with this LAND ROVER madness then…?

Not ALL of them drive Land Rovers, but no-one’s perfect… This is a hand picked starter pack of inspirational Vehicle Dependant Overlanders – the REAL DEAL!

A2A Expedition

The daddy of them all! Overlanding royalty, the Bell tribe have been criss-crossing this planet, in their Defender 130 called Mafuta, for well over a decade and are still keeping the pedal down. These very nice South Africans also publish some really nice books…

GrizzlyNBear

The nicest overlanders in the world.. judging by their large collection of fantastic YouTube videos! Indefatigable Aussie Leigh, and his partner Steph (or Frenchie!), never fail to deliver from some of the remotest reaches of the planet, whilst never losing their smiles. Afghanistan anyone?!

Dirt Sunrise

Tim and Kelsey also provide some of the most rewarding and informative overlanding videos on YouTube, packed full of stunning wild camping across North, Central and South American, and a wealth of technical and offroad advice that would usual cost some serious money…
